There has been enough buzz around filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta’s upcoming spy film tentatively titled The Black Tiger. Names of Arjun Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan were doing the rounds of the web for the main lead. Now, a source close to SpotboyE.com has learnt of a development on that front. The filmmaker recently met Hrithik Roshan and the actor has consented in principle.
The modalities are being worked out and if all goes well, then Hrithik may feature in the movie, essaying the lead role of Ravindra Kaushik, an Indian spy. However, Hrithik is yet to sign on the dotted line. So it’s quite clear that Arjun and Ranbir are no longer in the reckoning for the character.

Ravindra Kaushik was an actor who later turned a RAW agent. He died in Pakistan prison post his arrest. He earned the name of Black Tiger. Speaking of Raj Kumar Gupta’s filmy repertoire, the man is known to helm movies based on real-life incidents and unsung heroes like No One Killed Jessica.

On the work front, Hrithik will be back in his superhero avatar for the fourth instalment of Krrish which will release in 2020. Then, he also has a YRF project with Tiger Shroff. Roshan also has Super 30 in his kitty, which was embroiled in controversy after director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual harassment. Later, Anurag Kashyap was brought on board as the director to complete the project.
On the personal front, the actor earlier this year, revealed on social media that his father Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat.
